Great value with GPS Pass

I was looking for the best deal on a season pass, and the GPS Season Pass early bird pricing really delivered. I saved a decent amount, almost $75 compared to what I would have paid later. It felt totally worth it for the amount of skiing I plan to do. Glad I jumped on that early.

Good day on the slopes

Went for a day of skiing with my friends. We got our Lift Tickets online beforehand, which saved us some time at the mountain. The slopes were in pretty good shape, and the lines weren't too bad for a weekend. Grabbed some food at O'Brien's Grill too, it was decent. Overall, a solid day out.

Easy rental, good skis

Rented Performance Skis. Online booking was quick. Picked them up fast. Skis worked well on the mountain. Returned them without issues. Simple and efficient.

Consistent Night Skiing Fun

I've bought Night Skiing Passes from Wachusett for a few seasons now. This time was just as smooth as the others. The process online was easy, and the pass worked without a hitch at the gate. It's why I keep coming back; reliable experience every time.

So much fun!

I had the best time at Wachusett! I went with a 3-Peat Lift Ticket Package and got to ski so many times. The trails were great and the snow was perfect. I will definitely be back for more next season. You have to try it!

my buddy is in the military, does Wachusett do any kind of discount for lift tickets for service members?

N Nathan P. 1 week ago
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they do. My brother used his military ID last year for a discount. It's usually for daily lift tickets, not like a season pass or anything.

B Brian Garcia 1 week ago
They definitely have one. Just make sure he brings his ID to the ticket window. I've seen them apply it there.

Does Wachusett do anything special for college students? Like a season pass deal or cheaper lift tickets?

T Tim P. 3 weeks ago
They do! My roommate got a college season pass last year. You usually need to show your student ID and be enrolled full-time. It's a decent discount.

S Sean H. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, check their website, they usually have specific info about student passes or even some daily ticket discounts if you're in college.

Thinking of heading up next month, what's the deal with lift tickets? Do I have to buy 'em way ahead or can I just show up?

R Rachel Lopez 1 month ago
Yeah, totally buy ahead if you can. They do dynamic pricing, so closer to the day, or if it's a busy weekend, they can be more expensive. Plus, sometimes they sell out, especially on good snow days.

I just showed up once last season and it was fine, but it was a Tuesday. For a weekend, definitely book it. You don't want to drive all that way and get shut out.

thinking about one of the beginner packages, does that include everything? Like, rentals and a lesson and all that?

D Donna Mitchell 1 week ago
Yep, beginner packages usually include a lift ticket for the beginner area, equipment rental (skis/board, boots, poles, helmet), and a group lesson. It's a pretty good deal to get started.

J Justin Thomas 1 week ago
It's a solid deal, usually covers everything you need for that first day or two. Just show up with your warm clothes!

what's the parking situation like there? Is it free or do you have to pay a ton to park?

W William Robinson 4 weeks ago
Parking is free! It's usually a bit of a walk if you get there late on a busy day, but there are shuttles from the further lots.
2
Z Zach Campbell 4 weeks ago
Free parking, which is awesome compared to some other mountains. Just be prepared to park a little ways out if you don't arrive super early.

How much of a pain is it to rent skis there? Is the gear decent, or should I just go to a local shop before I head up?

B Brian T. 1 month ago
It's not bad at all. They have a pretty big rental place. Gear is totally fine for most people, especially if you're not like, a pro skier. It can get busy on peak days, so try to get there early.

I rented there last year, it was super quick. They have a lot of sizes and good quality stuff. No complaints.

Is Wachusett any good for just chilling and hiking in the summer? Or is it mostly just a winter place?

J Justin W. 1 month ago
Nah, it's pretty active in the summer too! They have hiking trails, and they do those SkyRide things on the lift which is cool. Plus they have festivals and stuff sometimes.
6
G Grace T. 1 month ago
Totally. I've been there for a summer festival before, really nice vibe. And the views from the top after a hike are great.

Are those GPS season passes really worth it? Like, if I'm only gonna go maybe 5-6 times all winter?

Z Zach Parker 2 weeks ago
Hmm, 5-6 times might be cutting it close. I usually go more like 10-12 times to make it worth it compared to daily tickets. But you get other perks, like discounts on stuff up there, so that helps.
5
P Patricia Brown 1 week ago
For 5-6 times, you might be better off with a 3-Peat package or even the Cow Card if they're still doing that. The Cow Card gives you a discount every time you go, so it could save you money without the big upfront cost of a full season pass.
